Home Building & Construction
New construction and framing, done from the ground up. Solid bones, square corners, and work that holds up long after the crew leaves.

I build houses, turn wood, and fix what's broken around Lincoln County. I wrote a book about a family holding it together when the lights go out, and I put the work on camera over at Crafted by Chad. This is all of it, in one place.
About
I'm a carpenter from Troy, Missouri. I build houses for a living, run Thornburgh Construction, and keep properties around Lincoln County in shape. If it involves lumber, tools, and getting it done right, that's my work.
I'm a proud dad to my two boys — Tanner and Jacob. Family isn't a side note in my life; it's the reason for most of it. It's also where my book comes from: a story about a family that has to take care of its own when the world outside stops working.
When I'm not on a job site, I'm in the shop turning wood or in front of a camera showing how the work actually gets done — the good cuts and the mistakes alike. What you see is what you get.

The Day the Lights Went Out
A survival story about the people you'd do anything to protect.
When the power goes out and doesn't come back, a family has to figure out — fast — how to feed itself, protect itself, and stay together. That's the story I wrote, and I wrote it as a dad who knows what it takes to hold a household together.
The family in it is built on the real thing: you take care of your own, and you don't quit. Book Two is in the works now.

The shop and the job site, on camera. On Crafted by Chad I post woodturning, carpentry projects, and straight contractor advice — the kind of stuff I wish somebody had shown me when I was starting out.
No script, no pretending. A project goes right, you see why. It goes sideways, you see that too.
